A dynamic public library and interactive plaza space located in the City of Santa Monica. This project serves as a meeting point for children, teens and parents; while providing city wide activities/programs and a place to host the local farmers market. The undulating roof line creates expansive perimeter glass, skylights, and light wells to improve the daylighting throughout. Sustainable strategies including photovoltaic arrays, rain water harvesting, and drought tolerant landscape design are used to display the library’s commitment to the community’s future.
